Made from our premium, full-strength New Zealand wine, Giesen 0% keeps all the best qualities of our award-winning Giesen Estate Riesling.
This dealcoholized Riesling features notes of lime, citrus blossom and elderflower on the nose. The palate offers lively and refreshing Riesling characters, with zingy lime, ripe mandarin and delicious sweetness, all balanced by a refreshing crisp finish.
Our Giesen 0% Dealcoholized Riesling has been recognised around the world, picking up accolades at a number of extremely prestigious award ceremonies. These include the Global Low & No Alcohol Wine Masters in the UK, the Mundus Vini Non-Alcoholic Wine Competition, and the International Wine and Spirit Competition. We were also very proud to be awarded a Gold Medal at the World Alcohol Free Awards.

All of these wines contain no more than 0.5% alcohol by volume – about the same levels that naturally occur in fruit juice.
We want our non-alcoholic options to give you everything you’d expect from a premium New Zealand wine. So we go through the entire winemaking process, before we gently remove the alcohol. Here's how we do it...
Using innovative spinning cone technology popular in perfume-making, we separate the wine into three parts: alcohol, aroma, and body. We leave the alcohol behind, recombine the aroma and body, and add just a touch of premium grape juice to balance the final blend.
This advanced form of distillation allows us to handle the wine gently, maintaining the integrity of our distinctive flavor palate and texture throughout the process.
DID YOU KNOW?
The guidelines for what counts as "wine" relate to how the product is made, rather than whether there is any alcohol content! So because we ferment our grapes first, yes - Giesen 0% is still classed as a wine. That's how we get such a varietally expressive end product!
We make a delicious, full-strength New Zealand Riesling with the classic flavors loved around the world.
We use innovative spinning cone technology to gently distill the wine into layers:

We carefully collect that delicate Riesling aroma and add it back into the body of the wine (sans alcohol!)
We add just a touch of premium grape juice to round out the final blend. There you have it! Delish.
At just 33 calories per 5 Oz serve, a glass of Giesen 0% - New Zealand Riesling has 70% less calories than the regular 10.5% alc/vol Estate Riesling and over 50% less sugar than many fruit juices. How’s that for a bonus?!

Sometimes our winemakers even spice things up by serving a glass poured over ice with fresh mint or a slice of lime. Dress your glass up or down to suit the occasion.

We select fruit from vineyards in Marlborough and Waipara. Marlborough brings citrus flavor to the wine and Waipara fruit gives us floral characters to ensure a beautiful, structural Riesling
